The Festie First Responders blog
Bear Care Team

L-R: Kelly, Sarah, Tracy, Beth, Brandon, Alex and Wendi (Not pictured, Nick) rounded out the Bear Care team at Wolfie’s ’23

Weekend At Wolfie’s is one of my favorite events of the year. The small crowd is composed of die-hard Bumpin’ Uglies fans (a group called “Uglies Nation”), as well as a diverse group of folks from all walks of life who are ska, rock, punk and reggae fans. The unique thing about this festival is that everyone there is treated as family, whether you are a festie newbie or an old head. Whether you’re a hippie. a rocker, a metalhead, or a punk fan, all came together and enjoyed the musical experience together. The crowd was kind, open-armed, and caring. And they looked out for each other.

At Wolfie’s this year, we had the opportunity to welcome some new friends to the team as well, Many thanks to Beth, Tracy, Kelly and Sarah for all of your help and dedication! And also to the nurses in the crowd who weren’t part of the team, but nonetheless stepped up and assisted with patient care whenever it was necessary.

On a side note, I have decided to commit to posting more on this blog, so our Bear Care family can keep track of what we’re up to. And keep your eye out for new photos from time to time as well.

Thank you for reading my inaugural blog post. Hopefully I’ll stick with it and post many more. And hopefully you will all come along for the ride.
